Is that possible we hear you ask?
To rent an Austrian village!! Well yes it is, and although your company would have the key to the village and be allowed to temporarily rename streets for your company products and services, such as for example ‘Amazing Austria Alley’
Daytime events would be held in an area of erected large Marquee tents set up in the village. Evening events can also be held in a village event venue. Then there is all the relevant hotel or guesthouse accommodation for your company staff.
Rent an Austrian village – with Branding it becomes your village
The branding is as extraordinary as it is striking. Your participants will be amazed when the village nameplate bears the name of your company, lantern flags decorate the streets or street signs are named after products and personalities from your company. And on the way to your evening event, a brightly lit “torch logo” creates pure goose bumps. This is how a village becomes “YOUR VILLAGE”!
With Rent a Village using local infrastructure, such as Conference centres, Hotels & Barns, we can offer exceptional supporting programs and unusual conference options that will leave a lasting impression on your participants. We have accoomdation capacities from 50 to 500 people in their own single room accommodation, depending on the village.
The villages are located in the most charming regions in the heart of Europe, where tradition and customs as well as economic life have been shaped by the environment for centuries. These distinctive features give your event a unique setting! You will find rent a village villages either in the middle of the majestic Alps, in the rolling hills of famous wine regions or in idyllic places on the banks of glittering lakes or large rivers in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
There are 9 villages to choose from in Austria, 3 in Germany, one in South Tirol and one in Switzerland, so you are not lost for choice.
Rent an Austrian village
Our proposed RentaVillage event programme is based on Friday arrival and Sunday departure.
Friday: Guests arrive individually by coach or plane and are first welcomed at a Village Reception. Guests check-in and are then transferred to their hotel accommodation. A welcome themed evening is held in a luxury decorated marquee with entertainment to suit.
Saturday: After breakfast at the individual hotels, the day is set out for meetings or activities.
The area surrounding the village, if required, can be converted into a large communication centre. In the evening, in the special village of marquees, a gala dinner is hosted followed by presentations and a variety of entertainment.
Sunday: Delegates depart following breakfast.
Should you need conference space on the Saturday, the villages offer various conference facilities i.e. for example: at the hotels, at the community conference centre, or in special locations such as at the Castle of Mondsee.
Surprisingly the concept can be run with as few as 200 people, so ideal for the larger wedding party, but of course with up to 350 people it becomes so much cheaper to run an event as the cost per head is reduced considerably.
Accommodation – Rent an Austrian village
As the number of sleeping rooms required tends to be greater than what one hotel can provide, this is where the whole rentavillage incentives concept really comes into it’s own.
There are various categories of incentives accommodation but please forget the word “categories” and replace it with “host establishments”.
Some hosts own a four-star hotel while others have a guest house. Of course, you are guaranteed the minimum standard of a four star establishment with regard to room furnishings i.e room with shower/bath/WC, TV, telephone, etc.
The breakfast is standardised and is equivalent to a breakfast buffet in a four star hotel. The statement “We are staying with our hosts in the village” is the best way to explain the friendliness of the local people and the whole “lodging” idea.
In order to avoid questions such as “Why are my colleagues staying at a four-star hotel and I’m in a private pension?”, a large “Village Reception” is set up and the whole check-in procedure is turned into an opening event with entertainment and activities.
There is music, food including local specialities, welcome drinks including some Austrian wines and beers and most importantly, a game in which participants draw tickets (key raffle) for their accommodation over the duration of the event.
At the village reception area participants receive their welcome packs, their room key and are then sent to the various accommodation establishments. All the establishments are located within a radius of a few hundred metres and are just a short walk away from each other.
