While the average Austrian wonders in which city you can actually still afford to buy a house or apartment, the prices for the mega-real estate of the super-rich no longer know any limits.
Top prices in Vienna
Concrete gold is cashing in especially in Vienna – Austria’s most expensive real estate city this year. The most expensive top floor apartment was sold near Stephansplatz in the summer: for a total of 8.9 million euros!
The biggest real estate deal in the whole country, according to the platform: A buyer peeled 11.53 million euros for a single-family house in the posh villa district of Döbling.
Million plus deal in Oggau
But: Even in small towns there are no upper limits. In Oggau (Burgenland, 1,748 inhabitants) a house changed hands for 1.2 million euros.
Other property Leaders in the federal states: Klosterneuburg (4.25 million euros), Unterach in Upper Austria (3 million), Velden am Wörther See (2.8 million) and Salzburg-Aigen (2.15 million).
