Many clients would like to finance a property with a Bank mortgage, but because of the many financial regulations in EU, particularly the Basel 111 agreement on the money markets, it is not a simple process. Property search : One of the main criterias for an Austrian mortgage is to have an income in euros. But if you are buying a holiday property with an existing income, then you are in a favourable position.
Many clients, are interested to buy a B&B, Guesthouse or an Apartment house. THese all generate an income in Euros, so would cover thye criteria needed by the Banks.
The buying costs in Austria, generally amount to 10-11% This incudes all taxes, legal fees, registrations and commissions.
