There is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk and the main bus stop for Salzburg and Bad Ischl is only a few minutes walk.

St Gilgen is a good base for long stays in Austria. Situated on the lakeside, it boasts it's own ski mountain, the Zwolferhorn. Very fast downhill ski-ing,..if you are at least an intermediate. For families there is the local Postalm ski area only 25 minutes or 45mins with the free local ski buses.
The Kaiser town of Bad Ischl is only 25 minutes drive and here you have the famous spa. Eurotherm, which is open until midnight!

01. Long lets at Wolfgangsee
Due to the demand from our Guests for longer Holiday lets, such as taking a few months out or a Sabbatical, many of our owners are willing to rent from one to six months for these longer holiday requests.
Obviously it is much cheaper to rent on this basis, as opposed to the 1/2 week holiday in the high seasons.

The Mozart village of St Gilgen is at the top end of Lake Wolfgang. It is famous for it's Mozart connection and visitors come from all over the world to see the birthplace of Mozart's mother. Also his sister was married in the local church and had her wedding breakfast at the Hotel Zurpost, in the village square.
But besides it's famous characters, St Gilgen is a good base for holidays at any time. Situated on the lakeside, it boasts it's own ski mountain, the Zwolferhorn. One of the features of the Apartment is a traditional Austrian Kachelofen (woodburning stove), that heats up the main living area and gives the whole apartment a very cosy homely feel.
