Just over one hundred years ago, a journey in a luxury steam train through beautiful countryside and magnificent European cities was part of a special ”fin-de-siécle” feeling. Comfortable carriages and fine furnishings contributed to this feeling as well as the perfect service during glittering dinners with culinary highlights.

The start of a wonderful incentives experience which enabled travellers to journey in these carriages in the greatest possible comfort as well as luxurious elegance. This striving for utter perfection and harmony was the reason for reviving luxury trains. One century after the original train was built, railway lovers have recreated this forgotten experience of a glittering period.

Imperial Dinner Train

What was formerly reserved only for the aristocracy and plutocracy is now available for incentives guests from all over the world: a trip in a reconstruction of an Imperial Train with a romantic high-class dinner and fine wines. The journey begins at Vienna’s Sudbahnhof and takes guests back to forgotten days – to the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Past the imperial spa town of Baden, the journey takes you through the romantic and unusual Biedermeier valley towards Gutenstein. After a short stop including a cultural programme, you return via the spa town of Baden to Vienna.

When the “Chef du Train” says farewell to his passengers at Vienna’s Sudbahnhof, the guest will remember not only a wonderful luxury dinner in splendid surroundings but also impressions of bygone days. Whilst the incentive offers cater specifically for groups of 20 participants or more, the Dinner Train can be booked by individuals for special occasions.

The Majestic Imperator Train de Lux travels to such treasures as Salzburg, Munich, Prague, Budapest, Venice and all the scenic towns and villages in between. You may opt to either charter entire carriages for your private city transfers or join us on one of our scheduled journeys with stays at some of Europe¹s most gracious hotels and castles.

Rent your own Village in Austria or Germany!

The perfect concept for company conference, product launch or a good team building event to incentivise your staff!

There are 12 villages that are used for the rentavillage concept.

Depending on the choice of incentives village they are all within easy reach of either Zurich, Innsbruck, Salzburg or Munich airports.

There are endless opportunities with regard to presenting your products and decorating the village. If you wish to hang up 100 banners in the village, you may do so.

If you wish to put up signs, to display your products, you will not be restricted in any way, as long as you adhere to health & safety regulations.

The incentives marquee in the centre of the village can be decorated inside and out according to your choice of colours and theme.

The possibilities are endless. Consider for a moment the complete village and all the marquees decked out in corporate colours, company flags, bunting, signs, billboard posters, product displays, exhibits, etc. etc. The list goes on and the PR opportunities are tremendous.

Dependent on the time of year, many outdoor activities and special programmes can be arranged, from abseiling, hot air ballooning and ski-safari’s to white water rafting.

Accommodation
As the number of sleeping rooms required tends to be greater than what one hotel can provide, this is where the whole rentavillage incentives concept really comes into it’s own.

There are various categories of incentives accommodation but please forget the word “categories” and replace it with “host establishments”.

Some hosts own a four-star hotel while others have a guest house. Of course, you are guaranteed the minimum standard of a four star establishment with regard to room furnishings i.e room with shower/bath/WC, TV, telephone, etc.

The breakfast is standardised and is equivalent to a breakfast buffet in a four star hotel. The statement “We are staying with our hosts in the village” is the best way to explain the friendliness of the local people and the whole “lodging” idea.

In order to avoid questions such as “Why are my colleagues staying at a four-star hotel and I’m in a private pension?”, a large “Village Reception” is set up and the whole check-in procedure is turned into an opening event with entertainment and activities.

There is music, food including local specialities, welcome drinks including some Austrian wines and beers and most importantly, a game in which participants draw tickets (key raffle) for their accommodation over the duration of the event.

At the village reception area participants receive their welcome packs, their room key and are then sent to the various accommodation establishments. All the establishments are located within a radius of a few hundred metres and are just a short walk away from each other.

The Programme
Our proposed event programme is based on a Friday arrival and a Sunday departure. Friday: Guests arrive individually by coach or plane and are first welcomed at a Village Reception. Guests check-in and are then transferred to their hotel accommodation. A welcome themed evening is held in a luxury decorated marquee with entertainment to suit.

Saturday: After breakfast at the individual hotels, the day is set out for meetings or activities.

The area surrounding the village, if required, can be converted into a large communication centre. In the evening, in the special village of marquees, a gala dinner is hosted followed by presentations and a variety of entertainment.

Sunday: Delegates depart following breakfast.

Should you need conference space on the Saturday, the villages offer various conference facilities i.e. for example: at the hotels, at the community conference centre, or in special locations such as at the Castle of Mondsee.

Surprisingly the concept can be run with as few as 200 people; there is no minimum number of people required to attend.

Where Eagles Dare

Special incentive programme:

Follow us on an adventurous treasure hunt with an action packed programme, at the original scene of the movie!

Concept:
Just like in the famous movie of the same name, the “AGENTS” are divided up into small teams (6 to 10 max) and have to find the imprisoned general in the “German Headquarters”. By doing this they have to engage in a series of action packed exercises, which emulate specific scenes to the movie.

Becoming acquainted with the castle “Hohenwerfen” by going through the experience of a treasure search from the torture chamber to the bell tower.

The competing teams have to find their way through the castle, led by a roadbook, and they have to fulfil different activities. In the evening a special agent dinner will be served in the palace hall, which will be decorated accordingly.

For this special “agent-atmosphere” we recommend the sound of the famous “Untouchables”.

Location:
CASTLE “HOHENWERFEN” ­ Werfen/Austria (approx. 30 minutes drive south from the City of Salzburg)

Agenda:
We start the incentives day with a walk through the woods up to the castle (approx. 15 minutes). In the courtyard of the castle a special bird show with falcons, buzzards, owls, eagles and vultures will be presented by a “FALKNER”.

After this spectacular show we will serve a welcome drink and the guests will be officially greeted. HERE THE GUESTS BECOME “AGENTS”! Consequently they will be organized into teams, we distribute the roadbooks and before they start with the investigation of the castle in the form of a treasure hunt they will receive a detailed briefing.

On their incentives journey through history a “Nazi spy”, dressed in an original Austrian Dirndl and an “Undercover Agent” will supply the teams with further information, but they also have tricky questions about the castle and the movie.

A number of difficult lessons are waiting for the competitors, for example:

  • Air pressure rifle shooting
  • Target throwing with hand grenades (dummies!)
  • LANCE STICKING WITH PADS AND MATS (foam material!)
  • Cable bridge over the fortress wall like Clint Eastwood
  • Rope bridge over the court like Richard Burton

Incentives Dinner:
Agent dinner with live music (our suggestion: “THE UNTOUCHABLES”) and medal award for the best agents. We end the evening with a romantic tour with torches down to the valley!
